The Tiki Board phenomenon began in 2013 with Sylvain Maurin, who drew inspiration from ancient Alaia surfboards to develop a new style of board for a more organic and natural kitesurfing experience. Initially, these boards were designed for light wind conditions, but over time, they have been refined, reduced in size, and evolved into a serious competitor in the strapless kitesurfing scene—without losing the essence of the Tiki.

Since 2015, Paulownia Natural Growers has worked directly with Sylvain and the Tiki community, supplying tiki blanks made from our paulownia wood and helping to establish the standard for the perfect rocker curvature in these boards. This collaboration has been crucial in solidifying the Tiki Board as a legitimate option in modern kitesurfing.

The most versatile model. This tiki blank comes in a flat hull format, allowing advanced shapers to fully define the contours and features of the board. It’s perfect for those who want maximum control over the shaping process.
